What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We may collect certain personal information from you in connection with your activities at Lewiston Auburn Youth Soccer Association (LAYSA), such as when you visit the pages within this website or purchase products from this website.
We use “cookies” on this site. Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive.
Like many sites, we use “cookies” to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Site.
Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our site.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
This information may include:
- Browser or OS information;
- Payment card or other financial account information;
- Contact and billing information (including name, e-mail address, postal address, and phone number, etc.);
- Other personal information you provide to us when you interact with us in other ways, both online and offline;
- Geolocation data; and
Additionally, we or companies acting on our behalf may collect certain computer and browser information through automated technologies such as cookies, “web beacon”, or Facebook pixels when you visit our website. A “cookie” is a file that a website sends to a visitor’s computer or other Internet-connected device to identify the browser or to store information or settings in the browser. A “web beacon,” also known as an Internet tag, pixel tag or clear GIF, links web pages to web servers and their cookies and may be used to transmit information collected through cookies back to a web server. The Facebook pixel is code that you place on your website. It collects data that helps you track conversions from Facebook ads, optimize ads, build targeted audiences for future ads, and remarket to people who have already taken some kind of action on your website.
It works by placing and triggering cookies to track users as they interact with your website and your Facebook ads.
The information collected using these tools may include your IP address, browser characteristics, operating system, device screen size, the address of the web page that referred you to our website, dates and times of website visits, the language your system uses, and the country and time zone in which your device is located. These automated technologies also permit the collection of “clickstream data,” which may include a log of content you access while browsing a website.
Companies acting on our behalf may combine the information collected from your visit to our website with other information they have collected previously. Your web browser may tell you how to be notified when you receive certain types of cookies and how to restrict, reject or disable certain cookies.
Interest-Based Online Advertising and Google Analytics.
This section of our Privacy Notice provides details about interest-based online advertising (also called “targeted advertising”, “remarketing”, or “behavioral advertising”), Google Analytics, Facebook and your choices with respect to this type of advertising.
We use Google Analytics’ 3rd-party audience data such as age, gender and interests to better understanding the behavior of our customers and work with companies that collect information about your online activities to provide advertising targeted to suit your interests and preferences. For example, you may see certain ads on this website or other websites because we contract with Google and other similar companies to target our ads based on information we or they have collected, including information that was collected through automated means (such as cookies, Facebook pixel, and web beacons). These companies also use automated technologies to collect information when you click on our ads, which helps track and manage the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.
Your Choices and Opting Out
Because those opt-out and preference control pages are specific to the individual browser used to visit it, and because that page is not operated by the Lewiston Auburn Youth Soccer Association (LAYSA), we are unable to perform the opt-outs on your behalf.
- You may opt out of the automated collection of information by third-party ad networks for the purpose of delivering advertisements tailored to your interests, by visiting the consumer opt-out page for the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising and edit or opt-out your Google Display Network ads’ preferences.
- You may opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertisers including AdWords and opt-out of customized Google Display Network ads by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager. To provide website visitors more choice on how their data is collected by Google Analytics, Google has developed an Opt-out Browser add-on, which is available by visiting Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, to enable you to opt-out of Google’s programs.
- Modify or Block your Google Ad Settings within your Google Account.
