Fall Recreational League

LAYSA’s recreational soccer program (House League) offers children an opportunity to play soccer regardless of their skill level or ability! There are no standings or playoffs in the house league. Your “soccer” age is your age on 7/31/2023. The programs offered are as follows:

U6 Mites for ages 4-5 (CO-ED)

Children participate in fun-filled, hour long soccer clinics on Saturday mornings for six weeks. This program is designed to create a fun learning environment that teaches basic soccer skills through games. Parent volunteers are needed to assist the program director. The fee is $70 ($80 after July 23) which includes a shirt and a #3 soccer ball. Parents are expected to remain on site for the duration of the clinics.

U8 Micros for ages 6-7 SINGLE GENDER (if numbers allow)

This program focuses on the basics of soccer with an emphasis on understanding the game, ball handling and being part of a team. Players have a short-sided game each Saturday with an emphasis on fun and developing basic skills. There is a weekly practice on a day/time/location determined by the volunteer parent coach. Parents are expected to stay during practice and games. Players will be notified of team assignments in late August. The fee is $75 ($85 after July 23) and includes a team shirt and socks.

U10 Juniors for ages 8-9 Single Gender (if numbers allow)

This program helps children develop a sense of the game, the various positions (including goalkeeper) and how to work as a team. Ball handling and basic skill development are the primary focus. There is a weekly practice on a day/time/location determined by the volunteer parent coach and a game on Sunday. Games are officiated by a certified youth soccer referee. Players will be notified of team assignments in late August. The fee is $80 ($90 after July 23) and includes a team shirt and socks.

U12 Seniors for ages 10-11 single GENDER (if numbers allow)

This program helps children develop a more sophisticated sense of the game, the various positions and how to work effectively as a team. Ball handling and basic skill development remain a primary focus. There is a weekly practice on a day/time/location determined by the volunteer parent coach and a game on Sunday. Games are officiated by a certified youth soccer referee. Players will be notified of team assignments in late August. The fee is $85 ($95 after July 23) and includes a team shirt and socks.
